Monthly Prize Draw: Terms and Conditions
These terms apply to the Uche Rum monthly prize draw. By signing up to our email newsletter, online or on a paper entry form, you agree to these terms. If you have any questions, email us at hello@ucherum.com.
1. The promoter
The promoter is Uche Rum Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 13513030), whose registered office is at 59–60 Thames Street, Windsor, England, SL4 1TX ("we", "us").
2. Who can enter
2.1 The draw is open to UK residents aged 18 or over.
2.2 Employees and directors of Uche Rum Ltd, their immediate families and anyone professionally connected with the draw may not enter.
2.3 We may ask any entrant or winner for proof of age and identity. If we can't verify that a winner is 18 or over and eligible, they won't receive the prize.
3. How to enter
3.1 To enter, complete the sign-up form on our website or a paper entry form at one of our events or stockists, confirm you are 18 or over, and agree to receive our email newsletter.
3.2 No purchase is necessary.
3.3 Each person has one entry per monthly draw, however many times they sign up. Entries made in bulk, automatically or by a third party are not valid.
3.4 Everyone who is subscribed to our email newsletter at the closing time of a draw is entered into that month's draw. You stay entered into future monthly draws for as long as you remain subscribed.
3.5 Paper entry forms handed to us before a draw closes will be entered into that month's draw. Forms that are incomplete, unreadable or missing the age confirmation or email sign-up box are not valid.
4. Draw dates
4.1 Each monthly draw closes at 23:59 (UK time) on the last day of the calendar month.
4.2 The winner is picked at random from all valid entries within 7 working days of the closing date.
5. The prize
5.1 There is one prize per month: one 70cl bottle of Uche Coconut Rum.
5.2 The prize can't be exchanged or transferred, and there is no cash alternative.
5.3 If the prize becomes unavailable for reasons beyond our control, we may replace it with a prize of equal or greater value.
5.4 We deliver the prize free of charge to an address in mainland UK. The person receiving the delivery may be asked for proof of age, and it will not be handed to anyone under 18.
6. Winners
6.1 We'll contact the winner by email within 7 days of the draw.
6.2 The winner must reply within 14 days with a delivery address and any proof of age we ask for. If they don't, or if they are not eligible, we may draw another winner.
6.3 To request the winner's surname and county, email hello@ucherum.com within one month of the closing date. Winners may object to this information being shared by contacting us.
7. Your data
7.1 We use your details to run the draw and to send you our email newsletter, which you have agreed to receive. See our Privacy Policy for more information.
7.2 If you enter on a paper form, we will add your details to our email newsletter list and keep the form as a record of your consent.
7.3 You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any of our emails. If you unsubscribe, you won't be entered into any draws that close after that.
8. General
8.1 We may disqualify any entry we reasonably believe is fraudulent or breaks these terms.
8.2 We may change, suspend or cancel the draw if circumstances beyond our control make this necessary. We'll give notice on this page where we can.
8.3 Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or anything else that can't be limited by law.
8.4 These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
